I recently ordered some LEDs from “Super Bright LED” to fix the 2 or 3 bulbs that had gone out. While I was doing that, I figured I would change it to a different color. I think they came out rather nice and it’s nice to be able to see speeds below 80mph at night again. Replaced my interior dome light and the LED looks much nicer in there too. LED all of the things!

I’m about to convert all the exterior lights (except headlights because safety reasons) on my S10 to LEDs. Already did the interior in red. So yes, LED all the things.

Is the blue harsh on your eyes?
I love my amber/red OEM back-lighting, but I sorta want the NB1/NA green look.

Yeah since OEM color was orange I figured I would do something different. With the dimmer turned down it is quite pleasant. I also used one of the orange “condoms” on the cruise control light which made a huge difference on irritation. Soon to find out if blue gets annoying eventually though.

My tach needs some new lighting too! How difficult was this job? (I have no experience pulling apart an interior)
I was thinking of going white.

Factory color for mine is Amber (it’s an ‘01). I do like that color and will probably go back eventually but I figured I would give blue a try.

It was ludicrously easy! All I had to do was remove three bolts, pop off a couple clips, and then pull the whole cluster out. Was a bit of a struggle to pull the cluster since it required a bit of force but some gentle flathead screwdriver worked it out. Bulbs were plug-and-play. It was easy enough that I will definitely consider swapping colors every once in a while and maybe change some of the other bulbs in there.
White can also be done just by removing the bulb condoms.

If you find some decent LED turn signals that are still very visible in the day, let me know - I already converted my reverse and license plate bulbs to LED on the Accent, plus the rear brakelights with street legal LEDs from Philips (though supposedly only street legal on a few makes/models of car, of which mine isn’t one).
Camera overexposed a bit on the above one, so the lights aren’t quite THAT bright, but still plenty useful! :)
Don’t have any pics of the brakelights since the switchover, but the instant-on is nice for a few more milliseconds of reaction time for whoever is potentially about to rear-end me if anything else! I ordered these - highly recommend them! I had to order 2 sets as my gen of Accent has 4 rear bulbs.

That blue would really hurt my eyes but it looks pretty awesome. I prefer green, red, or orange.

Looks cool, but could futz with your night vision. That’s the main reason so many are amber/red, that particular part of the color spectrum doesn’t cause any loss of vision at night.

Yeah, I was thinking red for the same reason. Green/Orange are OEM colors so I was trying to avoid that. I will see if lowered brightness helps with that but it is a quick change and the LEDs are cheap if I want to try something different. Certainly will find out on the 6+ hour trips to the ski mountain and back over the winter.

Yeah, it’s the same reason the bluer HID setups are terrible for anyone actually seeing anything. I am thinking about switching to a red if this ends up being a bother even on a lower brightness setting. Then I can feel like I am in some secret war bunker all the time.

Dat blue. Sure is 2004 in here. I love the amber of my ‘02 Miata. It gives a luxurious feel, probably because it’s similar to the light color used in BMWs.

My dad’s B5.5 Passat had this color from the factory. I thought it was neato.

Oh yeah, I liked the amber as well and will probably do a red or amber in the future again. Figured I would be different though and go blue. I really like how it looks but I am worried I will go blind at night haha.
